| Renato Tavares, a member of the American
Top Team, was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in
1968. He started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu when he was just 6
years old with Geni Rebello, one of the most highly regarded
Jiu-Jitsu masters in Brazil. Renato is now a 3rd degree black
belt, and has been training for over 32 years.

to use his vast experience to mentor those serious about
progressing in their sport, whether it is BJJ or a different style
of martial arts. The Association offers camps, seminars, private
lessons, belt testing, and educational resources.
