I'm right handed but I want to fight south paw style. Is there anything wrong with that or should I train to get out of that and fight "normal"?

nope being able to fight both ways is good. it throws some people if you change stance.

100% Agree!! A major problem a lot of people have is wanting to fight south paw until they get into the cage. Once they get hit they want to hit the other guy back really hard so they switch to standard and throw the big baseball player punch. I am big on the "Fight how it feels right" theory and working with what comes natural to you as much as you can.

I agree, I myself fight the same way. I love to switch stances a lot too depending on the person I'm working with. But like above if it feels good, then go with it. Also at our gym we have about 4 guys who fight like this, also I like to teach wrestlers to fight off their dominate shooting side, so they dont become predictable.

Y

I personally believe you should learn to shoot off of your kick boxing stance. I was a wrestler for 6 years. I ended up dropping out of college and started to train mma just over a year ago. I wanted to learn to box out of my wrestling stance. i realized it'd be just as easy to wrestle out of my kick boxing/MMA stance.
It's good to know how to properly throw punches and kicks from either side, but i'd suggest learning to shoot from your boxing stance

Its just fine. Just train more. I just wanna share you my martial art. I learn Aikido for 2 years. it's really nice. It's combat Aikido. Full body contact. I'll love it, yet sometimes it really hurts. My specialty is Kata.
