Shogun might have been lucky, but that might be what it takes to beat Machida.
Be aggresive, counter-attack and continue to move forward and keep your hands up.
He's fast, evades a lot, and utilizes the ring, so it's pretty hard to hit the guy.
Shogun did what he had to do, counter-attack.. to me, that's the best opportunity to hit a guy as fast as Machida.
